precarity

A state of economic insecurity (often related to contingent and unpredictable employment under capitalism) often linked to a lack of social and psychological well-being.  Precarity can also be described as the experience of displacement, dispossession, disenfranchisement stemming from exposure to violence, forced migration, and other political and environmental sources of inequitably shared vulnerability.
